About Bonnie

Bonnie started her art career in the early 1980’s. She is a second generation artist, continuing a family tradition of painting animals, people, and other inspiring things. Bonnie started with formal art classes at a local college. During the course of developing her unique style, she sought after the best local artists around and took their classes when offered. Her education is a combination of foundational principles combined with specialized techniques she learned from the best professional artists.

Bonnie works with water color, acrylic, collage, and is constantly pushing the envelope of the medium in her work by combining several media in a single piece Her style always includes vibrants colors. She has studied color both in terms of how the mind perceives color and what the paints she uses are capable of producing. She is able to maximize specific features and chemical makeups by mixing raw paints to yield striking, rich and deep colors. She works with water color, acrylic, collage, and is constantly pushing the envelope of medium in her work. A special energetic creativity abounds in every piece of hers.

Bonnie’s style is diverse in terms of subject matter as well. She experiments with both realism and the abstract, often mixing the two in subtle ways. There is an eclectic and colorful theme in all of her work which we hope you will enjoy.
